About HistoryOrb.com
HistoryOrb.com was created to showcase to a wider audience a number of historical articles and essays that had been written by the authors and/or collected over the years.
An extensive Today in History archive was combined with these entries to form the original content of the site. Originally written by Bruce T. Goldman the archives were expanded and corrected over the years by HistoryOrb.com with the help of many regular users of the site.
Our quiz section was developed to give visitors a fun alternative to reading about history. Feel free to test yourself against history buffs from around the world and more importantly expand your horizons.
In September 2008 the site was given a major revamp and a fresh new design. As part of the re-design the Today in History archives were greatly expanded and the accuracy of many of the existing entries was also improved. The revamp also added the dates by year, dates by day and topics sections to the site.
The site continues to grow as we come across and publish interesting new history articles. Article submissions are always welcome and may be sent via our contact form.
