Dec 7th BC - Marcus Tullius Cicero (b. 106 BC), Roman orator and politician assassinated.
Nov 26th BC - The Second Triumvirate alliance of Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus ("Octavian", later "Caesar Augustus"), Marcus Aemilius Lepidus, and Mark Antony is formed.
Aug 19th BC - Octavian, later known as Augustus, compels the Roman Senate to elect him Consul.
Apr 21st BC - Battle of Mutina: Mark Antony is again defeated in battle by Aulus Hirtius, who is killed. Antony fails to capture Mutina and Decimus Brutus is murdered shortly after.
Apr 14th BC - Battle of Forum Gallorum: Mark Antony, besieging Julius Caesar's assassin Decimus Junius Brutus in Mutina, defeats the forces of the consul Pansa, who is killed.
